BIOGRAPHY

My primary goal is to encourage, mentor, and motivate today’s youth and young adults to achieve great promise. I express my commitment to this goal by serving as the sole sponsor of the "From Failure to Promise" Scholarship Essay Contest and the k-12 Educator's Grant.

Currently, I am an assistant professor of management in the Brennan School of Business at  Dominican University. I greatly enjoy educating and working with traditional and non-traditional-aged undergraduate and graduate-level students. My teaching interests are international business, management, organizational behavior, and a variety of other organizational management topics. In addition to full-time teaching, I am an avid business researcher and motivational speaker. Most recently, I've been named the "2011 Distinguished Alumnus-Civic Achievement" by the Kettering University/GMI Alumni Association.

My experience is quite extensive as a consultant, instructional designer, executive, project manager, associate director, and engineer in telecommunications/MIS and organizational development. I have several years of corporate experience as a systems analyst and designer, database administrator, and a technical trainer at AT&T.  Prior to AT&T, I served as an engineering intern at General Motors North American Truck Platform. After several years in the corporate sector, I founded Moorer Customer Care Solutions Consulting (MCCSC); a regional management consulting firm dedicated to serving the organizational design and consulting needs of small and intermediate sized businesses.

My Core Values are as follows :

D: Diversity
R: Respect
I: Integrity
V: Virtue

I am a published author of peer-reviewed articles in the following journals: The Journal of Marketing for Higher Education; the American Journal of Business Education, and the Journal of Business Case Studies. My research interests focus on technological change management; business, government, and society (BGS);  global business; and last but not least my research life work: 'Corporate Global Social Responsibility to Cooperatively Eradicate Genocide and Poverty'. In terms of Information Systems and Information Technology, I am implicitly interested in product/process innovation, the impact of wireless technology, and digital human interaction on team-building, employee morale/motivation, and improved strategic project/process outcomes.

My beautiful wife of 12 years (Nicole) and our 4 sons reside in Olympia Fields, IL (25 minutes south of Chicago). We are members of California Gardens Christian of Love Baptist Church in Blue Island, IL. I enjoy traveling, research, speaking, and billiards.
