Cleamon is the Co-founder and President of Partners in Wellness Management, LLC., President of American Advantage Home Care, Inc., and Founder, Ex-Officio of Dr. C. Moorer & Associates, Inc, NFP. Prior to his full-time return to the corporate sector, he was a business school dean at Madonna University and Baker College, and a professor at Dominican University, Kettering University, Saint Xavier University, and Roosevelt University.

 

Cleamon earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Kettering University. Later he went on to pursue and earn an MBA and a Master of Science in Management & Organizational Behavior both from Benedictine University. Clem earned a Doctorate of Business Administration from Argosy University-Schaumburg in 2004.  Lastly, he received a post-graduate Business Excellence for Health Professionals Certificate from Cornell University.
 

Dr. Moorer flunked-out of Kettering University in 1995, returned twice - as a readmitted student in 1996, and as a professor in 2013.

 

His corporate experience stems from serving as a consultant through Moorer Customer Care Solutions Consulting (established in 2001) for various small and medium-sized businesses. Additionally, Cleamon served as a service executive, project manager and telecommunications engineer at (2) Fortune 100 Corporations: (General Motors and AT&T). 

 

Dr. C Moorer & Associates, Inc., is a registered 501c3 scholarship-providing and grant-making organization whose mission is to motivate educators and students to achieve great promise that results in improved global citizenship. The foundation offers annual scholarship awards to HS seniors and college students and stipends to k-12 educators. Since the foundation’s inception in 2010, they have awarded 25 students with scholarships and 15 educators with grants, totaling over $100,000.00 in award monies and in-kind donations.

 

Dr. Moorer is the author of a best-selling memoir, titled From Failure to Promise: An Uncommon Path to Professoriate. From Failure to Promise has held the #1 top-rated spot on Amazon in the US and Canada on several occasions in the genre of memoirs/biographies of educators. From Failure to Promise: 360 Degrees is the latest release (August, 2014).

 

In addition to his top-rated memoir, he is a published author of peer-reviewed articles in the following journals: The Academy of Taiwan Business Management Review-Journal; The American Journal of Business Education; The International Journal of Case Method Research and Application; The Journal of Business Case Studies; The Journal of College Teaching and Learning; and The Journal of Marketing for Higher Education.  

 

Dr. C. Moorer sits on the boards of Beyond Basics, LLC. , Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Flint, Catholic Vantage Financial Credit Union,  GEI Global, Inc., and the Macomb County Habitat for Humanity (former Board Chair). He is an academic advisor to the Better Man Than Me Foundation. He is a member of the Midwest Academy of Management, the Organizational Development Institute, and the Genocide Intervention Network. Lastly, Dr. Moorer is a motivational speaker with the Young Black Minds, Speaker’s Bureau, LLC. He has earned the following awards:

He and his beautiful wife of 19 years (Nicole) and their 4 sons reside in southeast Michigan.
